Beachfront Stay & Clam Digging
Join a local naturalist and clam digger for a half-day adventure, where you’ll learn how to find, dig, clean, and cook clams. Along the way, enjoy local stories and helpful tips. Stay just steps from white sand beaches and turquoise waters, with comfy beds and private porches, perfect for watching sunrises and listening to the waves.
Package Includes:
- 2-night stay in beachfront accommodations at Seaside Cottages at Ginger Hill. Choose from:
- Bright and cozy bunkie, including queen-sized bed with heated mattress, mini fridge, coffee maker, and BBQ
- 2-bedroom cottage, including queen-sized bed, two twin beds, fully-equipped kitchen, and 4-piece bathroom
- 3-hour guided clam digging experience for two with a local naturalist, including all equipment. Learn how to identify clam holes, read tide charts, and safely collect a variety of clams.
- Clam feed: Learn to clean, shuck, and cook your catch before enjoying the freshest seafood you’ll ever taste!

Up to 2 adults, children (<17) are free. Subject to weather & availability.
Want to add more “foodie” experiences to your stay? Seaside Cottages at Ginger Hill also offers a “Maritime Brown Bread & Beans Workshop” and a “Seafood Feast” (featuring local scallops or lobster delivered to your cottage or bunkie). These options can be added when booking your stay.
Conditions:
Advance booking required. This package is for up to 2 adults. Kids under 17 years of age may participate in the clam digging experience and stay for free. Clam digging subject to weather conditions/availability – if cancelled, regular nightly stay rate would only apply. All bookings subject to Seaside Cottages at Ginger Hill reservation and cancellation policies.
