Lockeport Lobster Sea Catch Festival
Lockeport, Nova Scotia will be celebrating BIG time this Lobster Crawl, especially on Saturday, February 21st when they host their annual Lockeport Lobster Sea Catch Festival 2026. With activities and attractions that include food trucks and demonstrations, vendor market and more – there’s something for everyone to enjoy and then some including FREE cake!!!
The Lockeport Fire Hall will be hub of festival happenings from 11am to 3pm. Our incredible pal The Kilted Chef will be there to demonstrate his skills with seafood and share scrumptious samples. Flipping Mike’s Food Truck will be there along with “The Fish Man” (Curtis) so you can get your fill of fresh seafood.
NS Loyal will join over 25 wonderful local vendors for the festival’s Big Beach Market that includes beer, wine, fresh sourdough products, handmade soaps, jewellery and more, along cool booths for Make Your Move and the Seacaps Play Park crew.
You’re invited to learn the story of “The Lockeport Mermaid” and help choose a name for the one-of-a-kind coastal sculpture that will serve as a nautical safety market for fishermen and a magical low-tide attraction near Crescent Beach. Local artist Sam Nickerson will complete the project, which will serve as a lasting landmark to celebrate Lockeport’s maritime heritage and connection to the sea.
Meanwhile, over at the Crescent Beach Visitor Centre you can meet up with local surfers and take in a screening of their award-winning short film SILVER SURFERS OF THE SOUTH SHORE (runtime 15mins), with the 1st viewing at 11am and the 2nd at 1pm. Admission is FREE, with donations to the Lockeport Food Bank greatly appreciated.
And did we save the biggest bit for last? You bet we did! As back at the Lockeport Fire Hall they’ll be weighing in and awarding the 2026 Lockeport Lobster Sea Catch Festival Trophy and $500 cash to the Captain with the BIGGEST LOBSTER! For more details on this contest, click here.
